The first annual JDRF food truck rodeo was held July 28th, 2018 at Bicentennial Plaza in downtown Raleigh.
Music was provided by Bassist Bernard Harris, a Raleigh native who now lives in Orlando, Florida with his lovely wife, vocalist Jai Rose. Bernard is an internationally known performer and recording artist. As well, he spent several years working as music director for Gospel Artist Mandisa. Wow!
On this occasion, the crowd was treated to a groovin’ sound check and we all were super excited to hear the band play, but alas the show was rained out. I’m looking forward to the 2nd annual JDRF food truck rodeo, and better weather so Bernard can finish what he started. Cheers to you B!
The food truck vendors plan to donate a portion of their proceeds to support the North Carolina chapter of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
