The Art of Al Strong

I think every Jazz fan in Durham, North Carolina is familiar with the music of Trumpeter Al Strong. He is cofounder of The Art of Cool music festival held yearly in the downtown area. Al and his team have revitalized the Durham music scene and in my opinion, caused It to vibrate at a much higher frequency.

J. Gunn is better!

This was my first time hearing Joshua Gunn in concert, I was blown away. This man raps with precision and depth. His rhymes are thought provoking, relevant and he puts on a great show!

Joshua and his band performed two sets of their original hard driving hip hop jams at Durham Central Park.

On a break between sets, Joshua took questions from the audience and spoke candidly regarding the state of America.

Would I buy a ticket to see Joshua Gunn in concert again? Yes, a hundred times!
